Joaquín Leguía

Joaquín’s connection with nature began in his childhood, when he found refuge in his grandmother’s orchard after his parents’ divorce. The orchard, which he imagined as a jungle, became a place of emotional safety and freedom where he learned about empathy and interconnectedness. This formative experience shaped his future path as an environmental activist and educator. Later, Joaquín founded the Anya Association and developed the TINI (Children’s Lands) methodology. This approach provides children with their own space to care for, fostering a sense of responsibility towards themselves, others, and nature.
