Immigrant children in Switzerland benefit from home visiting program

Andrea Lanfranchi, head of research at the University of Applied Sciences of Special Needs Education (HfH), Zurich, has designed an intervention for children of immigrants in Switzerland that actively involves parents in its home visiting program. The first results of the longitudinal study ZEPPELIN are promising, showing improved parenting practices that lead to improvements in children’s cognition, language skills and behavior.
