Daniel Briley is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He studies the developmental behavior genetics of individual differences, meaning the ways in which genetic influences and environmental context combine across the lifespan to produce psychological characteristics. Daniel’s research focuses on three issues: 1. Identifying environmental inputs to personality and cognitive ability. 2. Analyzing how children mold their environmental context to align with their preferences. 3. How the combination of individual characteristics and environmental circumstance lead children down different academic trajectories. Daniel Briley is a Jacobs Foundation Research Fellow 2019-2021.
