Mamadou teaches in a primary school in the old city centre of Dakar, Senegal, in quite an old building with relatively good and clean infrastructure compared to schools in other parts of the country. However, Mamadou and his colleagues and students often experience problems with rainwater, and sometimes have to work flooded in water. Mamadou is an advocate for safe and clean schools for children’s wellbeing. He fundraises and builds water wells in other parts of the country where schools have no access to clean water.
