Andrea’s class of 18 eight-year-olds thrives in this vibrant, community-driven environment, where parents are actively involved. Andrea integrates physical movement and play into learning. Mornings start with calming rituals and outdoor activities to prepare students for focused classroom work. For foundational skills, Andrea uses imaginative methods, like associating multiplication tables with animals and physical activities to make abstract concepts more tangible. Andrea evaluates her practice based on her students’ joy and engagement, seeing their enthusiasm and excitement as signs of successful teaching.
