Silvana develops creative projects like Classroom Extension, where students use movement and materials like yarn to explore shapes and angles. She also trains teachers to embrace creativity and overcome fear of uncertainty in teaching. For Silvana, learning should be joyful and open-ended, breaking away from rigid education frameworks to foster curiosity and inventive thinking.

Silvana Baico is an experienced primary school teacher, teacher trainer, and contemporary dancer from Uruguay. She specializes in creative pedagogies and learning through movement. She has worked in public and private (Waldorf) schools in Uruguay for more than twenty years and is pioneering the introduction of the Segni Mossi dance company’s pedagogy into teacher training and school education in Uruguay.
