Diana Abu Khaled

Diana faces severe educational challenges in Palestine, particularly in Gaza, where technical issues and unstable electricity hinder learning. Many teachers lack reliable internet, and power outages limit electricity to only eight hours a day. Despite these obstacles, Diana is determined not to abandon her students, whom she describes as “candles that need to be lit.” She uses WhatsApp to communicate and has adapted by holding weekly Zoom meetings. One student even travels to a dentist clinic with internet access to attend these important sessions. Diana is commited to providing education under difficult conditions.
