Lina Iordanaki

Lina introduces her students to the unique world of wordless picturebooks. She has observed the excitement and engagement of 11-year-olds as they explore stories told solely through images. An interesting classroom discussion arose from the book Journey by Aaron Becker, with students debating the gender of the protagonists who was portrayed neutrally. This led to a rich conversation about stereotypes and critical thinking. Lina found that wordless picturebooks fostered collaboration and deeper analysis, allowing students to express their ideas freely and confidently.
