Azmin Mistry

Azmin uses drama in her school in Mumbai to explore the city’s essence in a creative way. Her students created monologues on various Mumbai topics, from local delicacies to major landmarks. Each student researched their topic, infused it with emotion, and presented it through recorded monologues on Flipgrid, using costumes and virtual backgrounds. They then received feedback and used thermometers to self-evaluate their learning. This approach made the project engaging and allowed students to reflect on their understanding in a simplified, objective way.

Listen to Azmin

“We had to capture the soul of Mumbai and all the cultural aspects of it… If I had to do that in a conventional way, it would take me forever because there’s so many things in Mumbai… So the creativity framework actually aligned beautifully with that and served as a great guideline.”
