Kainat and her students, who are teenage girls, have built wind turbines. Kainat’s hands-on approach allows her students to enjoy learning about energy while discussing resource management. Her students had fun participating in a competition which involved building and launching rockets – these joyful experiences make science attractive and accessible. Kainat challenges unhelpful prevalent stereotypes that girls are not good at science.
