Murimi Nyaga

Turi, a Teach For Kenya Fellow in Machakos County, teaches children impacted by urban migration, family instability, and limited resources. Many of his students struggle with fear, low self-confidence, and a lack of parental support. To address this, Turi and a fellow teacher developed the Unashamed Project, which uses arts, music, and dance to help students express themselves, regain confidence, and build leadership skills. This creative approach re-engaged students who had previously been disconnected from school.
