Rebecca Walch
Master’s Student, University of Basel

Rebecca Walch completed her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Staffordshire and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Psychology at the University of Basel. Her academic interests include youth mental health and qualitative research methods. Alongside her studies, she has gained practical experience as a nursing assistant, working with elderly individuals as well as other adults and children with mental and physical health challenges. A gap year on a community-based farm, where she supported individuals with special needs, sparked her interest in animal-assisted therapy, which was a focus of her Bachelor’s dissertation. She continues to explore this topic in her ongoing work as a research assistant.
