Meriah DeJoseph is a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University’s Center on Early Childhood. Her research on the effects of poverty on children’s cognitive and self-regulation development is motivated by her own experience of growing up below the poverty line. She studies how children adaptively respond to, engage with, and learn from the many complicated and nuanced experiences that poverty brings. Meriah received her PhD in developmental psychology from the University of Minnesota, her MA from Columbia University, and her BS from UC San Diego.
