Laura Bechtiger

Postdoctoral Research Associate, University of Zurich

Laura Bechtiger received her PhD in (Developmental) Psychology from the University of Zurich, where she is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Jacobs Center for Productive Youth Development. Her research deals with mental health problems and substance use in young people – risk factors, development, and long-term outcomes – with a focus on social relationships as sources of risk and resilience. Laura draws on prospective-longitudinal community cohort studies to track these developmental processes over time, within individuals as well as across generations.
