Andrei Cimpian is a Professor of Psychology at New York University, where he directs the Cognitive Development Lab. He studies the causes of educational and career inequities as well as solutions to address them, focusing specifically on gender, racial/ethnic, and social class disparities in STEM and other fields. His research has been published in top journals, such as Science, Behavioral and Brain Sciences and Psychological Science, earning him the 2018 American Psychological Association Distinguished Scientific Award for Early Career Contribution to Psychology.
