Teachers have found it effective as a warm-up or extension tool, promoting student discussion and curiosity. Brilliant facilitates discourse-based learning, moving beyond simple correct/incorrect answers to encourage deeper understanding and strategy exploration.

Nate Madick
Nate Madick is a mathematics teacher with extensive experience in classroom teaching (including special education). Currently serving as the Educators Outreach Lead at Brilliant.org and the creator of teachertoolsai.com, he focuses on enhancing student engagement and understanding through innovative teaching strategies. As a lead teacher for math, he collaborated with math lab coaches to deliver a rigorous curriculum, and he integrated technology into the classroom as a district innovation fellow. As part of a grant from the Department of Education, Nate coached school teachers to incorporate STEAM, project-based learning, inquiry, and design thinking into daily instruction.
