Helping refugee children to continue their education
Francis provides educational support for out-of-school refugee children in the Palabek refugee camp in the north of Uganda. He developed an accelerated learning curriculum to help children catch up on their education and reintegrate into formal schooling. Francis aims to reach 600 children. He is responsible for sourcing educational resources and blending them with the academic content from the Ugandan curriculum. The interventions take place twice a week in classrooms, and they have been successful in engaging learners and encouraging them to continue their education.
