Michelle Li

One of Michelle’s rewarding experiences involved collaborating with teachers to develop a classroom management plan for students with ADHD. The plan addressed severe behavioural issues with a mix of traditional and lenient approaches such as providing intensive support and using visual aids to create a positive learning environment. Michelle has also trained young primary students’ executive function skills, using visual aids and organisational tools to help them manage their homework and school materials. To help develop students’ executive functions, Michelle says it is important to assess needs, motivate students, teach hands-on, and involve families.

“I started this project because several teachers complained to me about the situation of students not being able to submit their homework, and about the school system requesting the teachers to chase the students to submit the homework.”
