Co-designing EdTech with families
Jason researches how families and technology intersect to foster collaborative learning. He studies games like Pokémon Go and Animal Crossing, focusing on co-designing educational technologies with children and families. During the pandemic, Jason adapted his approach to collaboration using Zoom and Google Slides, maintaining strong relationships in a virtual setting. His current work involves integrating physical interactions into online learning through small robots, to enhance engagement. Jason says that teacher creativity and autonomy maximise the potential of educational technology.
