Celia Hogan

Celia’s Little Kiwis outdoor play allows children to spend time connecting and learning with and in nature. Her pedagogical approach is inspired by Māori traditions, helping children understand their place in nature. Little Kiwis use all their senses in making and tasting tea made with leaves and fruits they collect. Celia invites educators to allow young children to take controlled risks in physical play while also supporting them emotionally. Children are eager to share what they learn. Families are invited to see their seedlings and other projects.

“They are little sponges and they will ask questions if they need to, or they will explore and experiment themselves… they blow me away by how physically capable they actually are.”
