Laura Bechtiger

Postdoctoral Research Fellow, University Medical Center Groningen, Netherlands

Laura Bechtiger is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University Medical Center Groningen, Netherlands. She received her PhD in (Developmental) Psychology from the University of Zurich, Switzerland. Her research deals with understanding mental health and behavioral problems in young people – risk factors, development, and long-term outcomes – with a focus on social relationships as sources of risk and resilience. Laura draws on prospective-longitudinal community cohort studies to track these developmental processes over time, within individuals as well as across generations.
