Lecturing Fellow, Duke University, and Senior Scientist, Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology

Adam H. Boyette is a Lecturing Fellow in the Thompson Writing Program at Duke University. He is also transitioning to a post as a Senior Scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in the Department of Human Behavior, Ecology and Culture. As an anthropologist, his interests revolve around how culture shapes the diverse ways that children learn and develop, and how learning and development lead to the production and reproduction of culture. Some of his specific research interests include children’s play, teaching in everyday social learning, fatherhood, and value socialization.
