Olli Aksela

Doctoral Candidate, University of Oulu

Olli Aksela is a PhD student in the Learning and Educational Technology (LET) Lab at the University of Oulu in Finland and part of the Center for Learning and Living with AI (CELLA). He holds a Master’s in Education from the University of Helsinki. Using measurements of students’ learning processes and students’ self-reports, his doctoral research seeks to extend understanding of how K-12 students enact self-regulated learning (SRL), why so, and how their SRL could be adaptively supported in digital learning. Through his work, Olli aims to advance the evidence-based integration of educational technology to help students become better learners.
