Jasmin Wertz is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, Duke University. Before moving to Duke, she completed her MSc and PhD in the UK and her undergraduate degrees in Germany. Jasmin Wertz is a developmental psychologist and investigates how children from disadvantaged family backgrounds navigate through life. The aim of her research is to better understand how genetic and environmental influences shape these children’s experiences as they grow up. She uses longitudinal, genetically informative data from population-based cohort studies in her research.
