Eva Aeschlimann is a psychologist and PhD candidate in the Department of Developmental Psychology at the University of Bern, Switzerland, where she is also a student at the Swiss Graduate School for Cognition, Learning, and Memory. She studies the relationship between working memory and intelligence in primary school children. Her research addresses the following questions: What underlying information processes contribute to the link between working memory and intelligence? Are there differences in brain activity between younger and older children of higher and lower intelligence? She measures brain activity using near-infrared spectroscopy.
