Emma Blakey
Senior Lecturer, School of Psychology, University of Sheffield

Emma Blakey specialises in understanding early cognitive development. She is interested in how executive functions, self-regulation and language develop in the early years, why skills differ between children, and how to build on child and family strengths to support outcomes. Emma is passionate about inclusive research, and projects that help support early years practitioners who play an important role in fostering the development and wellbeing of children. She is also a School Parent Champion aiming to mentor and support parents in academia, and a School Director of People and Culture.
