Astrid Bowen is a researcher and lecturer who previously worked as a teacher and special educational therapist. Her doctoral research project was a mixed-methods evaluation of a complex school-based intervention to improve the wellbeing of struggling students. She is currently project lead on a government-funded cluster-randomised controlled trial of a teacher training intervention to improve the quality of mainstream spelling and reading instruction in English.
