Anne-Li, a social science teacher, works with her students in an exceptional program on a school ship called Gunilla. The students travel to different countries, interact with local communities, and integrate their learning experiences with what they learn in regular classes. They are divided into watch groups and work on various tasks on the ship. The students’ reasoning skills improve by connecting with people and gaining wisdom from real-life experiences. Anne-Li also highlights the visible leap in maturity that occurs in her students when they return from these unique learning experiences.
